Refund Policy

If you are not satisfied with your order, you can return an item within 14 days of receipt for a full refund of the merchandise purchase price. Refund will be for the purchase price. Original delivery charges are non-refundable. Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer. If the goods are returned because they are faulty, they will be replaced at no charge, in this case, delivery charges will be the responsibility of Ability Assist.

Our Guarantee

All items purchased from Ability Assist are guaranteed to be free from defects and are warranted for 6 months for normal wear and tear. Electrical items such as Bath Lifts and Alternating Pressure mattresses cover a 1 year Guarantee on the electrical components.

Ability Assist makes use of SSL encryption by Thawte, a site certificate is available via your browser, and site should show as secure. Ability Assist makes use of PayFast (www.payfast.co.za) as a payment gateway, they use secure SSL encryption. Please make sure that the site is verified in your browser when doing the payment. All payment and credit card information is secure and kept completely confidential by Payfast.

Ability Assist keeps all your personal information is confidential. We do not rent, sell, or trade email addresses and personal information. When you place an order with us, we collect your name, address, telephone number, and email address. We use this information for fulfilling your order, and to contact you should there be any problems.

How to Order

Choose the items you wish to purchase and add them to your shopping cart. Each time you add an item, you’ll be able to view the entire contents of your cart with a total. You will also be able to obtain a price for shipping of your items in the shopping cart. The shopping cart will identify if there is insufficient stock of a specific item and allow you to decide if you would like to place the item on back order or remove it from you cart completely.

International Orders

We currently only process orders within South Africa via our website, however, we are able to ship internationally. Please contact us with your requirements and we will arrange estimates for shipping.

Pricing, Payment & VAT

All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR) and are subject to change without notice. We accept VISA, MASTERCARD credit cards, as well as EFT for online purchases via the PayFast gateway. Standard VAT is charged at a rate of 14% and a tax invoice will be supplied with your order.

Shipping

Orders are sent via a Courier Service to major centres within South Africa. We will keep you informed of delivery details as well as tracking information as soon as the order is confirmed.
